Time to meet our Wedding Party. Read about the fellas and ladies that will be joining us in putting on the show that is our wedding.

Men:
Andrew Broughton, Best Man

Andy is the featured Best Man of the wedding. It is of no coincidence that he shares the last name “Broughton” nor that he has a good chance of being around Kristi and I as long as anyone. Seriously, it’s not a coincidence. A lover of late-night movies and a champion of contentment in life, he is in the prime of his college days. Be prepared for a speech littered with references and quotes that no one will get except me. Laugh along. It’s in good fun.

Alan Kaplan, Groomsman

Alan is the only groomsman to currently be working on his PhD. He’s affectionately referred to as “Uncle Charles” or “Chuckles the Ghost” in the most profound of social circles, and he’s most likely the coolest person currently living in America. Since Chuck is a current resident of the CWE, we look forward to calling him over to our house to play next summer and beyond. You may have heard his musical productions on Pure Volume under the guise “T-LOTS”.

Mike Pupillo, Groomsman

Mike is a man who likes staring out at the ocean in a hoodie, tempeh wrap and scotch in hand, with punk rock humming in the background. He’s a man’s man, a friend’s friend, and lives life raw. Watch him rap it . . .

Tim Jenkerson, Groomsman

Tim Jenkerson is a retired insane drinking person. I think I speak for everyone in saying that having known him and still being alive is to feel truly lucky. He cannot be put into words. Unless perhaps you are searching for somewhere to eat in St. Louis. Tim will also be getting wed in 2008. It’s all part of a diabolical plan among us trust me.

Tom Nolte, Groomsman

Tom is a 5′9″ defenseman from the old school and on the day of our wedding will be hastily celebrating his last 4 weeks as a single man. He and I have somewhat of a reputation among the MU tailgate crew, although we have grown slow in our old age. When he’s not cutting his beard with a 2 guard, Tom enjoys coaching the Marquette C-team and plotting to take over the world. You can be sure he will be enjoying himself come June 14th.

William Ball, Groomsman

William Ball is basically a myth, a tragic figure who teeters between truth and make believe at an alarmingly fast pace. I am simply assuming he will be in attendance at our wedding, but what physical form he chooses to take on that day will be a surprise to us all. Will is a product of Crestwood Elementary school, one of the best around. He is fond of re-enacting the scene from Dogma where Chris Rock falls from the sky and lands on the pavement butt naked. If we’re all lucky, this may occur at the wedding.

Bill Uthoff, Jr., Groomsman

Bill Uthoff is Kristi’s younger brother and because of that we are unable to offer any tongue-in-cheek humor regarding him or his likes/dislikes. A famous roundballer, he will undoubtedly tower above the rest of the wedding party by some 3 feet. He’s heading to college next Fall, so I’m assuming you can befriend him on the “FB” and take it from there.

Jay Buerck, Usher

Jay “Burcheck” is a 25-year-old philly making a strong run for the lead as a long time friend of our new Broughton family. As a member of Plus1 Marketing, he and I get to spend a lot of time together traveling and chasing money. In his spare time, Jay plays 4th base for the 2004 Cardinals and invisible back for the 2007 Tiger football team. He is also the only one accompanying me on leg 1 of the Bachelor Party, and God bless him for that. Watch for him and Todd to be having the best time come the wedding day.

Todd Hotaling, Usher

Todd is husband to Kristi’s sister (and the Matron of Honor), Katie. Another product of Crestwood Elementary school, he is a man that demands your attention and reverence in social settings. I have always believed it wise to surround yourself with likable people and this cat makes everyone smile. He and Katie have helped teach Kristi and I many things, and planning this shindig has been much easier after watching their’s last August. Like I said, watch out for him and Jay come wedding day.

Katie Hotaling, Matron of Honor

My Matron of Honor and big sister! I am so excited to have her right by my side…she always has been. Katie is graduating in May from UMKC and will be going into practice with my Dad in SOCO, MO. I know she is excited about moving back to St. Louis. Nathaniel and I love hanging out with Katie and Todd so we all are looking forward to being closer to each other. Katie is a crazy, fun, and beautiful lady. She is always so supportive and I am lucky to have such a great sister.

Becky Cook, Bridesmaid

My “other” big sister. Becky has been a childhood friend of mine since I was too little to remember. We have so many good memories together. Nothing stands out more than being in Becky’s wedding last November. I was a bridesmaid in her wedding and it was like my own sister was getting married. Now when I mean Becky is like a big sister, she really is…she will tell me like it is. She does not put a front…she is honest, faithful, and hilarious. Becky now lives with her husband, Chris. They have the most beautiful house. Becky works at Purina, but her true calling is home decor! She has the best eye for what looks good.

Abby Martin, Bridesmaid

Abby is a friend I met in college and a sorority sister. Abby works for Bar Louie bartending and is going to school to become an educator. She tells me all the time that I was the one who inspired her to be an educator. What can I say…I am inspirational to my friends…haha. Abby lives in Soulard and has great Mardi Gras parties. Her boyfriend, Chris, will be at the wedding too. Abby and Chris have been together for a long time and Nathaniel and I love going out with them. Abby will look beautiful in her purple bridesmaid dress…come on Abby, you know you love purple.

Katy Graham, Bridesmaid

The Hot-Lanta Lady…Katy Graham. Katy currently lives in Atlanta (boo hoo, so far away) attending portfolio school at Creative Circus. She is always busy working on ads and such. She works way too hard at school and she is excited about graduating. She is a frequent travel to Boulder, CO to visit her boyfriend, John. When Katy gets the chance to come home to STL she is just a short drive away from me. I miss her so much and happy she is able to come in and be apart of my big day.

Katie Wrablik, Bridesmaid

Katie is an old friend from back to my middle school days. Her and I have been through so much and she has know Nathaniel and I since the beginning. Katie is a current student at SEMO and is here in the STL student teaching. She will be an amazing teacher, any child would be luck to have her. Katie and I share our love for teaching and hopefully one day we will be teaching in the same district or building!! Katie has always been that friend that I can rely on. Her and I have so many good memories and I am happy we have stayed so close over the last 10 years.

Elle Steadmen, Bridesmaid

Elle is another great friend from College.  Elle is the most caring person I know.  She is always looking for ways to do something special for all her friends.  I always look forward to the card she sends for every holiday.  She is so on top of things, I wish I could be more like that.  Elle loves her husband and her pups!  She is now lives in KC, but I do get to see her often because she comes into the STL often.  I am so happy to have a friend that went through all the wedding preparations last year and has been a huge help for me in planning my own wedding.

Cassie Brammer, Bridesmaid

Cassie is a very close friend from MU, too.  Cassie and I took most of our classes together and now she is teaching pre-school and dance in KC.  Cassie is a beautiful dancer and loves to be back at her studio as a teacher.  Cassie lives in KC with her older sister down on The Plaza.  It is always a good time going to KC and staying at her apartment.  When Cassie and I get together we always have the best time.  She makes me laugh and she is easy-going.  Thanks Cassie for being apart of our big day

Meghan Uthoff, Junior Bridesmaid

Picture is soon to come!  Meghan is my little cousin.  She and I have a common love for the color purple.  I am so glad Meghan is apart of my wedding.  She is a beautiful lady!

Sarah Tendler, Reader

Sarah is a friend from my childhood and we have stayed close throughout the years.  Sarah is the younger sister of Becky Cook.  When we were little you could find Sarah and I playing Barbie’s in her basement from sunrise to sunset.  Now Sarah is living in Kirkwood, right above Bar Louie…how ideal.  She is working towards her Masters at Webster and is working downtown.  Sarah has been a great friend to me and she is always there for me when I need her.  She is one of those friends that you know you will be friends with forever.
